Uber & UNiDAYS wanted to increase app downloads and future sales, offering discounts during Freshers/0- Week across Australia and the UK.
The challenge was to create campaigns that stood out in the chaos of the busiest week on the student calendar.
“Uber Daily” is a unique, useful handout that students would actually want to keep. Packed with tips about their new city, it encourages long term retention rather than being another flyer getting chucked in a bin.
CTAs were placed naturally, following the articles and current student quotes, positioned exactly where the student is already engaged, relaxed, and open to what they’re reading.
Sticking to Uber’s brand guidelines, while ensuring UNiDAYS still had strong presence & visibility.
“Hot Deals” was a multi-channel campaign launched across major Australian universities during 0 week.
The tone of the messaging mirrors how students actually talk. To support this tone, I designed a high-impact visual system using vibrant colours & dynamic layouts, featuring models that the target demographic.
The goal was to hold attention just long enough to communicate the discounts in am environment where students are overwhelmed by competing marketing efforts.
The campaign was versatile and consistent across OOH, EDMs, social and event assets, increasing campaign recognition.
