Rebrand & Event Campaign
The Gallery @ DMU’s original launch didn’t land, meaning awareness & footfall was low. The challenge was to reintroduce the and reposition the space as something far more exciting than just an exhibition room.
I built a full rebrand and event campaign centred around transforming the gallery into a flexible, multi-purpose space that could host workshops, talks, creative events & basically anything that brought people in to spend money.
The rebrand needed to reflect that new found openness and variety. Each event sits under one consistent design system, but for each event the letter used in the large 3D typographic backgrounds changed in line with the name of the event.
These backgrounds create a sense of depth and space which is a direct reference to the campaign’s core idea of expanding The Gallery’s usage.
I paired risograph-inspired prints for physical touchpoints with vibrant RGB visuals for digital channels, creating a bold contrast that catches the eyes of passer bys.
It stands in complete opposition to the original launch, which was muted & forgettable making it too easy to miss.
The final system is structured but highly adaptable, rolling out across print and digital. The result is stronger recognition, increased visibility, creating a presence that bring footfall back to the space.
